What is Occupational Therapy:
Occupational therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through occupation. The primary goal of occupational therapy is to enable people to participate in the activities of everyday life. Occupational therapists achieve this outcome by working with people and communities to enhance their ability to engage in the occupations they want to, need to, or are expected to do, or by modifying the occupation or the environment to better support their occupational engagement”

Functional Capacity Evaluation
Our services are aimed at finding the optimal fit in the job role and the environment for the person and their physical and cognitive ability. This can be done before the person is employed to ensure appropriate job fit or after incapacity, illness or injury to ensure continued job fit. We make use of Ergoscience testing, MODAPTs testing and various cognitive screen testing’s when doing so. Our evaluations are inclusive of driving assessments, work visits and make provision for sound recommendations on return-to-work programming.
Medical case management
The practice offers facilitation services to those going through return-to-work programming and ensures that all appointments with the appointed professionals are attended and that the client is comfortable with the transition back to work. During the process we interact not only with the assigned medical professionals, but also with the employer and individual themselves.
Return to work programming
We facilitate successful return to work through graded therapy sessions by simulating actual work tasks and demands in the workplace. Through the process we are also able to address stress management, social withdrawal, motivation and adapted coping mechanisms. We are privileged to have therapists with experience in hand therapy strengthening and conditioning and are proud to offer this as part of our return-to-work programming.
We offer tailored employee wellness programming to assist individuals in corporate and industrial work spaces so that they may achieve optimal work performance.
